International Fellowships Program (Ford Foundation Graduate Fellowships)

2:07 pm Admission Notifications

The International Fellowships Program (IFP), funded by the Ford Foundation, provides opportunities for advanced study to individuals who will use this education to become leaders in their respective fields, furthering development in their own countries and greater economic and social justice worldwide. The India Program is especially designed to support candidates from social groups that have been marginalized and lack systematic access to higher education such as women, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, physically disadvantaged and those with other kinds of socio-economic deprivation.

The IFP provides support for formal post-graduate study.  Fellows are chosen on the basis of their academic excellence as well as for their leadership potential and commitment to community service.  Fellows may enroll in a master’s level program and may pursue any academic discipline or field of study that is consistent with the interests and goals of the Ford Foundation. Once selected, Fellows may enroll in universities in any part of the world, including universities in India. IFP will provide placement assistance and will support Fellows to undertake appropriate short-term language study and training in research and computer skills prior to enrollment.
